Dean Cordero
Dean has been a writer for much of his life, particularly in fiction. Through Mount Royal University’s Journalism program, Dean has published several stories with the Calgary Journal, mostly focusing on profiles of local Calgarians. He specializes in audio and visual journalism
Noel Harper
Noel began writing as a creative fiction writer, but would focus his skills through Mount Royal’s Journalism program starting in 2017. Noel has worked with the Calgary Journal, The Reflector, and Great News/MyCalgary while also working with Global News, CTV News, APTN, and StarMetro Calgary for the Institute for Investigative Journalism. He specializes in investigative journalism, features, and post-secondary/campus journalism.
Christian Kindrachuk
Christian wanted to pursue a career in journalism in the hopes of telling impactful stories. Starting back in 2017, Christian has worked with the Calgary Journal, The Reflector, Macleans, as well as Global News, and Toronto Star, as part of the Institute for Investigative Journalism. He specializes in investigative journalism and reporting on topics like climate and health.
Zach Worden
Zach always wanted to pursue a career in sports media, so he decided to start writing in sports after high school. Transferring to Mount Royal’s Journalism program after one year at the University of Calgary for Kinesiology, Zach has worked with the Calgary Journal, The Reflector, Mount Royal University and Cougar Athletics. He specializes in sports journalism and audio editing.
